The Haverford Science Academy will be hosting DISCOVER Day on Saturday, November 3, from 10 am to 1 pm at Haverford High School, for Haverford School District’s elementary school students.

Last year, the Science Academy and Haverford High School Science Department hosted over 400 students at Discover Day, a day devoted to scientific observation, exploration, and reflection. This year, they are expecting over 1,000 people.  Members of the Science Academy and science teachers have been hard at work preparing for the event.

There will be many rooms to explore with demonstrations, including the Bug Room, Fingerprinting, Chemistry, the Physics of Light, Coding, and an inflatable planetarium.  Food trucks will also be available outside of the high school for attendees’ convenience.

The Haverford Science Academy encourages all young children in the community to attend DISCOVER Day, as it will be the perfect way for them to gain exposure to the field of science.
