  1. Chestnut Praline Latte

My first sip of this latte tasted smooth with sugar and spice, and a subtle hint of espresso. The design on the top of the drink was very aesthetically pleasing, and the adorable red and white swirl pattern of the cup screamed holiday spirit. However, about halfway through the drink, the diversity of the drink’s flavor disappeared, leading my final rating of this drink to be a 6/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Espresso Shots
  • 4 Pumps of Chestnut Praline Syrup
  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Regular Praline Topping
  • Steamed Milk
  1. Caramel Brulee Latte

I was nervous to try this latte at first out of the fear that it would taste too similar to a regular caramel latte from Starbucks and I would learn that I’ve wasted $5.  However, I was pleasantly surprised! Topped with brulee sprinkles on top, this rich, sweet, caramel drink is sure to be a holiday favorite. This turned out to be one of my favorite holiday drinks, hence why I gave it a rating of 8/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Espresso Shots
  • 4 Pumps of Caramel Brulee Sauce
  • Regular Caramel Brulee Topping
  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Steamed Milk
  1. Gingerbread Latte

Whether you’re a big fan of gingerbread or not, the gingerbread latte is a must-have this December.  The pumps of gingerbread syrup are subtle, but make you feel transported to a world where you’re living inside of a gingerbread house.  Also, a word of advice from another fellow Starbucks lover Seryna Chung: no matter how tired you are in the morning, DO NOT add extra shots of espresso to this drink, as it will cancel out the gingerbread flavoring and make the drink taste like hot, wet, bread.  My final rating of the Gingerbread Latte with the traditional recipe is 8/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Espresso Shots
  • 4 Pumps of Gingerbread Syrup
  • Regular Nutmeg Powder
  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Steamed Milk
  • Regular Foam
  1. Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate

Calling all snickerdoodle cookie lovers, this drink is perfect for you.  The drink is warm and sweet, and tastes just like the cookie but in liquid form.  If that couldn’t get any better, the topping of the drink is finished off with cinnamon dolce sprinkles, which taste delightful mixed with the drink.  This drink received a well-deserved rating of 8/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Pumps of White Chocolate Mocha Sauce
  • 2 Pumps of Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Regular Cinnamon Dolce Sprinkles
  • Regular Foam
  • Steamed Milk
  1. Peppermint Mocha

Sipping rich tasting mocha with shots of peppermint in front of the fire is one way to keep warm over the holiday break.  If you are a passionate peppermint and caffeine lover, head over to Starbucks because they have just the treat for you! This is another drink that deserves a rating of 8/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Shots of Espresso
  • 4 Pumps of Mocha Sauce
  • 4 Pumps of Peppermint Syrup

  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Regular Foam
  • Steamed Milk
  1. Eggnog Latte

The eggnog latte part of Starbucks’ Holiday Drink Collection is an excellent drink, that is if you like eggnog.  Though the eggnog flavoring is not completely overpowering to the taste buds, it is still prominent. I would not recommend purchasing this drink if you find yourself looking at that cartoon of eggnog in your fridge with disgust.  My final rating of the eggnog latte is 4/8 (Disclaimer: I am not a huge fan of eggnog).

Recipe:

  • 2 Shots of Espresso
  • Regular Nutmeg Powder
  • Steamed Eggnog
  • Regular Foam
  • Steamed Nonfat Milk
  1. Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

Do you love white chocolate?  If you answered yes to that question, then this drink is perfect for you.  The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks is sure to be leaving you begging for more once you finish it, and the warm fuzzy feeling you’ll get inside once you take a sip of it stays with you while you attempt to weather the cold.  This is, yet again, another drink that deserves an 8/8.

Recipe:

  • 2 Shots of Espresso
  • 4 Pumps of Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Sauce
  • Regular Holiday Sugar Sparkles
  • Regular Whipped Cream
  • Regular Foam
