The instrumental concert season at Haverford High School wraps on May 6, culminating in the Spring Concert for the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Lab Band. The groups will perform a wide range of pieces spanning styles, time periods, and composers.
Over the course of the school year, the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida to participate in a competition among instrumental groups from across the country. The students enjoyed free time in the Disney World parks and warm weather.
The jazz groups spent a day at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Regional Jazz Festival, competing against 12 other regional high schools.
The concert will be held in the Haverford High School auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
