On Friday, March 7, several Haverford teachers “rocked the schoolhouse” with a stellar showcase of tunes.
Benefitting the Class of 2014’s B.L.A.S.T and Philabundance, the show featured excellent performances by Mr. Armine, Mr. Reiff, Mr. Stewart, Mr. Mullen, Ms. Zeoli, Mr. Althouse, Mr. Felock and middle school music teacher Mr. Braverman.
A diverse range of artists such as Bruce Springsteen, OneRepublic and Coldplay were sampled as each performer brought his or her own style into the mix. The audience responded well, giving each performer a thunderous round of applause. Some notable performances included Ms. Zeoli’s and Mr. Felock’s upbeat, acoustic cover of Lorde’s hit “Royals” and a smooth guitar solo by Mr. Stewart in The Who’s “Can’t Explain”.
“It was great,” said Videography teacher Mr. Althouse, of the show, “I mean, the energy was good, you just got to get the crowd involved and make them feel more invested…that was a lot of fun..it was great to see that they [the students] came out and that they know their money is going to a very good cause.”
