The Fords took the ice against the Marple Newtown Tigers on senior night, commanding a 6-1 victory on February 1st.
Owen Rabadam, Ryan Viera, Dylan Bell, Xavier Morales, Tyler Tomlinson, Caleb Dean, Ethan Goodwin, Ryan McGlade, and Gus Scuderi were among the seniors honored. After families and friends of the seniors cleared the ice, it was time for the puck drop.
Gus Scuderi started the scoring party for Haverford four minutes into the first period by slotting one into the top right corner of the net. The second goal came shortly after during a two-on-one in Haverford’s offensive third, where Dylan McKelvey slipped one past The Tigers’ goaltender. Sean Yoder scored the dagger when he slotted in a third goal of the night for Haverford at the beginning of the second period.
Haverford racked up three more goals with Scuderi and McKelvey picking up their second and McGlade getting his first of the night before the final whistle blew.
This win propelled the team to a stellar 8-4 record.
Haverford Hockey is no stranger to dominance in the Central League. They took home the title of Central League champion in 2021 and 2022 along with one Flyers Cup Championship. If the Fords continue to play at such a high level, they just might have a shot at bringing home another Central League Championship.
