Meet Shannon Moore, a New Mathematics Teacher at Haverford
Shannon Moore, a Pottsgrove, PA native, is one of fifteen new teachers at Haverford High School this year. A teacher of Algebra I and Geometry, Moore is ecstatic to begin her teaching career at Haverford! She has three siblings, two sisters, and one brother, as well as two dogs, Shak, a Shepherd-Akita mix and Benjy, a Mini Golden Doodle.
Explaining her first impressions of Haverford, Moore said, “There are a lot of great opportunities that Haverford has to offer for its students. I can’t wait to be a part of those opportunities. I think that it’s cool that homerooms are together for four years and get to build a family. I can’t wait to see my homeroom [of freshmen] grow and build that family.”
A graduate of Penn State, Moore fervently supports her alma mater, as do many Haverford teachers who are also Penn State alumni. Although not a Delco native, she already shows signs of the red and gold flowing through her veins as she chants, “Go Fords!”
