Mr. Haverford Exclusive: Gabe Klee…the biggest thing since sliced bread?
Gabe Klee; he is known for his boisterous personality, crazy sayings, and overall wild outlook on the world. Gabe was home-schooled up until his arrival at Haverford as a freshman, and is one of five boys who he learned alongside his whole life. He enjoys performing on stage, playing Ultimate Frisbee, jamming on the saxophone, and working to become an Eagle Scout.
Q: Why did you decide to audition for Mr. Haverford as merely a junior?
A: “Because it looked like fun and I wanted to be a part of the incredible show that they put on every year.”
Q: Was there a particular person who inspired you to do Mr. Haverford?
A: The winner of Mr. Haverford last year is a friend of mine, Mr. Aidan Guynes. Killer hair, crazy style, kind heart.” While he says this he shrieks with multiple different versions of the statement with clear passion about the topic. Note that he is saying this while wearing Aidan’s Mr. Haverford promo t-shirt from last year. Also states Aidan’s amazing film work and his promise to help film and edit Gabe’s video this year.
Q: What are some surprising qualities about yourself that audience members may not know?
A: “I’m really good at cup stacking!” He jeers with a reassuring wink, attempting a comedic reference to his entrance video. Continues on saying “I have only been to three Phillies games in my whole life, a shocking number. One time i tried chicken and waffles. It was nice.” He finishes with a smile convincing that his “secrets” were ground breaking.
Q: Gabes brother, Jonathan Klee who also attends Haverford, approaches our reporter, and the next question is directed at him for another perspective- Can you describe your brother in a few words?
A: “Gabe is a seventeen year old male. hes crazy and fun. We work out every night until Easter trying to get six packs.” He responds with a similar energy as Gabe…a future Mr. Haverford contender?
Q: What is the one thing that you are most excited for for Mr. Haverford?
A: He struggles to find the right responses and after a while bursts out with “Jack Durfee”. He is specifically most excited for Jack Durfee the other Junior competitor in the event.
Q: Can you give viewers a hint at what you planning for your Mr. Haverford acts?
A: “Expect a dramatic story including death, betrayal, and love. I plan on involving all four of my siblings, making it a whole family affair.”
Q: Do you have a final statement directed to the fans?
A: “I didn’t do it, I was framed, I could not have driven the car, I love you mom.”
Right after that, Gabe yelled thanks, danced around in the school hallway and eventually stumbled out on his way home.
