Family members of all ages are invited to a fun-filled holiday songfest presented by the Haverford High School Choral Council. The Children’s Holiday Musicale, a long-standing community tradition, will take place on December 17 with two performances at 5 pm and 7pm at Haverford High School. Tickets are sold at the door and the cost is $2 for children under 12, $3 for anyone over 12 years old, and $5 for families. Proceeds benefit the Haverford High School Choral Arts Program. The casual performance takes place in room 126 of Haverford High School, located at 200 Mill Road in Havertown.

Produced by the high school choral students, the holiday children’s concert is approximately one hour long and appropriate for children of all ages. Audience members will enjoy many holiday favorites including “Jingle Bells,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Let it Snow,” “The Dreidel Song,” “Sleigh Ride” and many more! Children are encouraged to sing along to various songs throughout the program. Frosty the Snowman will make a special guest appearance!

“This holiday program for children is an annual event that members of the Haverford High School Choral Council have presented for many years. It’s become a tradition for our choral group, and many families in the community make it a one of their holiday events,” said Kimberly Hosan, president of the Choral Council.  “In fact, my parents brought me when I was little! It’s a great way for us to share our talent with the community and it helps support our choral activities.”

The Haverford High School Choral Arts Program includes the award-winning Concert Chorale and the Chamber Singers. For over two decades the choirs have performed throughout the United States and abroad. Dozens of auditioned choral members throughout the years have participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District Chorus, a highly selective group dedicated to musical education development.
